Manimahesh Yatra Radhashtami  Snan

Manimahesh Yatra Radhashtami snan 2013 will be held on 12th Septemeber, 2013. Manimahesh Yatra is pilgrimage to Manimahesh Lake situated at base of Manimahesh Kailash Peak. Every year Manimahesh Yatra is held from Janamastmi to Radhastami.  Radhashtami snan is considered most auspicious to take holy bath in Manimahesh lake. Pilgrimage to Lord Shiva in himalayas is considered one of most important pilgrimages in India. Devotees of Lord Shiva travel several miles to go for yatra to Manimahesh, Amarnath, Kedarnath, Badrinath etc. The most famous and ancient sacred books of India, The Holy Vedas ; Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda, Atharva Veda explain existence of Lord Shiva from the begining of the time.  Manimahesh Yatra from Bharmour takes about 3-4 days but pilgrims can also travel to Manimahesh in 2 Days. Locals, who are used to trek in high altitudes often go and return from Bharmour to Manimahesh in single day.

Day 1: Bharmour to Bharmani Mata temple and back to Bharmour

Day 2: Bharmour to Dhancho

Our day start with lovely drive of 13 km for Bharmour to Hadsar, Hadsar is the road head & the starting point of Manimahesh trek. The trek to Mani Mahesh is a gradual ascent on well maintained trail. Its a unique walk with hundereds of devotees as they chants the name of Lord Shiva at a distance of 6 kms is Dhancho which open flat plateau with green meadows. Overnight camps.

Day 3: Dhancho to manimahesh

This day starts with stiff climbs on a well paved trek, we divert for the new trail to Bhandar Ghati , which the par t of original approach route to Holy Mani Mahesh. though the route is been improved but is still a tough climb to Bhairo Ghati where the trail leads though Boulders & is almost vertical climb. Before reaching Manimahesh we will pas through Gauri Kund ” the lake of Goddess Parvati “,   its a lake where ladies take dip in Ice cold water..

Day 4: Manimahesh to Bharmour

This day is simple day to walking down , at a places one has to be carefull , But almost whole deccent is quite easy. On reaching to Hadsar, we will take our Vehicals & drive to Bharmour

 

Manimahesh Yatra Package cost includes:

Accommodation in Hotels on double sharing Basis.
All meal on MAP basis (Breakfast and Dinner) during stay in Hotel
Transportation by Taxi.
Tour guide with basic first aid kit.
Personal porter will be available on extra charges.

Meals will not be provided from Bharmour to Manimahesh and Back to Bharmour as there will be food available in Bhandaras and Langars.

Manimahesh Yatra Helicopter Service: Helicopter service for Manimahesh yatra is available from Bharmour. It takes only 8 minutes from Bharmour to Gauri kund (Manimahesh) by helicopter. Travelers can opt to stay as long as they want at Manimahesh or Bharmour. Tickets can be booked according to desired period of stay at Bharmour or Manimahesh.Helicopter Service depends on weather condition as well as many other factors.
